Colorado hwy 6 meet and cruise

Rocky Mountains - Meet - Organized By yamaha_rider619
Start Time: August 15th, 2010 @ 2:00 pm
End Time: August 15th, 2010 @ 7:00 pm

Details

Description
We'll meet Sunday August 15th at 2pm in the lower parking lot below Target by Colorado Mills Mall

We'll leave from there around 3:30 to do a cruise up highway 6 through the mountains to Idaho Springs where we'll all get some Pizza at Beau Jo's Pizza.

Bring a fold up camping seat or two, your spit shined cars, etc. And some cash for pizza. Splitting credit cards is painful.

Be cool, no attitudes or jack-hole driving. It's a 1 lane road most of the way on the cruise, and there's no reason to put yourself, or others in danger.

If you have any questions or need directions, let me know

update:

Beaujo's is going to be too small. We were expecting a smaller turn out, but it looks like we're going to have quite a few! The last couple of days, several people joined clubwrx just to say they're going to this meet, plus this is on several forums. So it's now going to be tommy knockers. It's all ages.. the pulled pork is incredible.. and the beer is spectacular. At the meet after we get a good idea as to how many are going to make the drive, I'll make reservations.

Invite MORE! :D

Looks like quite a few people are going to show up! Have people from here, Nasioc, AWDPirates, and ClubWRX all going! :D

the mount evans squaw pass drive drops right into Idaho Springs as well. Just go up the evergreen side the you drop down the other side and you hit idaho springs but it's all good. I just moved back here after being gone for 2 years and am stoked to meet some other scooby enthusiast

The Hwy 6 drive seems to be a good one because it's so close to Denver, and as soon as we hit idaho springs, everyone is able to hop back on I70 and be back in town in a matter of 15-20 minutes if they'd like.

If you're not a member of ClubWRX.net hop on there and make some suggestions in the colorado forum as to where to do a september meet and cruise!

Sounds fun! I'll be driving from Glenwood down to Denver the 14th anyway... Anyone ever done independence pass, though? That's one kick ass drive this time of year.

I enjoy the hyw 6 drive very much but do think that going through Evergreen and going over mt. evans or I guess it would be squaw pass would be much better. that drive is just pure fun and amazing.
