Only showing 7 lbs of boost, vacuum leak? ?

My boost gauge is only registering that I'm running 7lbs of boost. When I thought my stock 03 WRX should run 12 lbs? if it's a vacuum leak does anybody have a vacuum line diagram? I need help so I can get er back up to 12!!!!!

I was having the same problem not too long ago.. Found that one of the boost lines running from the wastegate to the boost Selinoide was cracked pretty good. I decided to just replace them all :)

Here is a good start so you can understand how it all works. It has helped me a time or two. Good luck.

+1 to all answers here. It does sound like a vacuum leak to me. An easy way to find out is to use some needle-nose pliers and just pinch lines until you see the proper the in/Hg (negative) vacuum. If you don't have a gauge that goes negative, pinch off other small vacuum lines working your way from the gauge line to the manifold. If none of the vacuum lines are loose/broken/bent/sealed/etc... You're looking at serious turbo shaft play or failing turbo.

I hope this helps!
