Should i get a aftermarket blow off valve???
In short, i want my car to sound cooler. But im trying to weigh cost and benefit. Things im considering are:
1. Do i need a tune?
2. Should i get one that recirculates or pulls from the Atmosphere
3. Will i loose horsepower?

1) yes, your idle will turn to shit and your afr's after shifts will be way rich
2) recirculating BOVs are known as BPVs, the best upgrade is to go from a wrx BPV to an STi BPV
3) not necessarily
BOVs aren't good for your car because that air that is being vented to the atmosphere has already been metered by the MAF, so when you get back on the gas after shifting the ECU thinks that there is a lot more air being forced into the engine than there actually is, causing you to run rich after shifts

its debatable if its worth it
some pple say it over works the turbo and others say its fine and just makes a cool sound
it will not affect your hp and you will not need a tune after as far as i know

Worth it? Not really. The stock BPV (recirculating) does keep the turbo spooled between shifts so there is less wait for boost upon applying gas again. However, it doesn't make the "whoosh" sound. If you want that sound, you'll need to get a BOV (out to atmosphere). There are MANY different kinds of these, so picking one to use is entirely your choice. My advice would be to get a hybrid BPV/BOV that you can do full recirculation, full out-to-atmosphere, or half recirc, half to atmos.

Basically keep the stock bpv and get a short ram air intake, get the sound you want and let your car breathe easier.
With an SRAI you can hear the turbo spool up and the bpv release, same ish except you can actually gain hp/tq from the intake.

No.
There is no reason to have one. The stock unit will hold a lot more boost thank you think.
I laugh at people with vent to atmosphere blow off valves.
