What exhaust would you guys suggest for an 05 impreza RS?

best bet would look on YouTube and type in exhaust 2.5rs. Mayb invidia sounds nice especially the n1

Tsudo makes a very nice cat back. Invidia is very nice but expensive. Greddy and strohmung also make one that has good deep tone and still allow for proper back pressure and better exhaust flow. The application really depends on your mod plan for performance. Personally on the RS, I would start with headers and a high flow cat. Also make sure your intake has adequate flow. A poor fuel to air mixture could mean either a lean or fuel rich exhaust.

i did catback first i wasnt too impressed but after i put a unequal length header it sounds awesome.

personally, Borla replica UEL headers (evilBay) mated to a custom 2.25"-2.5" catless header-back to a muffler of your choice
and keep the stock header-back laying around for emissions inspection

I have the borla reps mounted to a stromung catback. it sonds pretty beast, but the trackpipe was money poorly spent. I would suggest the stromung axelback, and possibly get a custom 2.25 headerback straightpipe done up at a muffler shop. might throw a check engine with this option, but better performance and more mung noise for your buck. Arguably the best price and best sounding (low tone) is the; Turbo XS hands down. but to get that best tone you must do a through the turbo uppipe (choose grimmspeed), downpipe and catback. You wont be dissappointed. G.
