Hi friends,

I launched MySubie.com over a decade ago with the hopes of uniting the Subaru community in a way that no website ever had. With tools to show off your car and explore and compare modifications like no other website still offers even today, I had hoped it would become the standard for how car enthusiasts connect online. Admittedly, I was also working on growing and creating Subaru festivals around the United States, which is still my primary focus today. As a result, MySubie.com hasn't had an update in nine years and its usage has dwindled. That being said, MySubie.com will be online until April 15th, at which point it will be taken down indefinitely.

Hope to you see you IRL at Subiefest, Wicked Big Meet, Boxerfest, or Big Northwest.

just purchased my first Subaru. Should I buy the extended warranty?

With all the electronics on this beauty I wonder if I should fork over 1750 to extend the warranty to 8 years. Do the bells and whistles of electronics fail? We had one 2016 test drive where the lights blinked out for a minute then turned back on. Makes me wonder if the electronics alone are worth purchasing an extended warranty.

If you're planning on keeping it for the long haul, the extended warranty would not be a bad idea. To date, I haven't had to use any of the extended warranties I've had with my Subies, but I have only kept them for short periods since I seem to have ADD with respect to cars!

That's not a bad price however, make sure the warranty you buy is a Subaru dealer acceptable. Some of the warranties are just 2nd hand garages.
